Updates

I couldn't update the blog during the last weeks, there was just too much to do, no time!!! So, here it goes, sort of a summary of last events:

The film was finally shown for the first time at the Academy of Arts and Design in Offenbach. It was well received and granted a 1,0 (equivalent to 10 or A in some countries).

The title wasn't changed. It stays MOD MOOD. I tried to find something else, lots of people gave lots of ideas, but somehow no other title seemed to be quite right for the film. I think it doesn't wanna have its name changed. It somehow already became Mod Mood, which was initially thought of as a working title. The new logo can be seen above, in the header of the blog! :)

Now it's time for the acknowledgments: thanks a lot to Eva Becker, for finishing the animation on time and making it really cool, and to Florian Schrauder, for having made all the sounds for this animated sequence and helped out with the subtitles in German. Thanks also to Nathalie Simonetti, who, even having to work every day the whole day and having twin babies waiting for her to come home, found the time to develop the logo and opening credits of the film. I also wanna thank Konrad Müller, for giving a big help with the logos, sending nice and fresh youthful ideas. And also thanks a lot to Andreas Knauf for his wise judicial advices! :) And a general but BIG THANK YOU to everyone else who helped with critics, ideas, and big or small gestures! It all amounts to a lot! THANKS!!!!!

When will the film be out? To cut a long text short, there are still adjustments to be made, and most importantly, I have to find a way to bring the film to full quality, since the version I have is in offline quality (meaning it costs money to make the film look as good as it can and should!). At the beginning I won't be able to upload the film, because many big festivals do not accept films which have been seen in full length in the internet. But i am gonna edit a trailer and upload it, and I am gonna send the film to as many festivals as possible, and whenever it gets accepted I shall post the dates and places here, in facebook and also in myspace, so, if there is anybody out there who is interested in watching the film it will hopefully be screened anywhere near them. And after having made its festival career I will be able to put the film online, but that comes later.

Anyway, I will try to post all updates here!

Blue Box

Yesterday was blue box day! Matthias Winckelmann and I spent the whole day in front of After Effects keying out the blues! It was fun watching him working, quite a complex thing it is to make nice clean keying. Thanks a lot, Matthias! :)

The computer screen was blue and static before.

TITLE

It is time to make the credits, and therefore time to decide the definite title of the film. Mod Mood is a working title, and I am not totally happy about it. Does anybody out there has any suggestions ?

Last shoot

And here i am again back to this blog!
I haven't really shown up much for the last months, but now in the last weeks before the film's completion I thought it would be nice to post here again, with the last news!
So, last week we shot the background scene for the bluebox scooter sequence. A very last minute adjustment, which only worked thanks to Michi's help and Nina's disponibility. And not without Flo's contribution again, the best best boy ever! :D

Premiere

Hello there! Long time no write in this blog!
The film is in post-production again (it has remained untouched due to personal reasons for some time) and is going to be premiered in november 2009.
Can't wait to see it talking and moving and looking good!

Trailer - removed!

Sorry about removing the trailer from Youtube. It was too long and gave away too much of the story. As said, it was made as a sample of work, and I only left it online for crew and friends to take a look at the material. Soon there will be some teasers available.
The film is getting nicer and finer with the time! It will be first presented in May 2009, at the diploma presentation in the HfG Offenbach! :)
